Inpatient Services
Registration and Admission Process
When you visit SMF for the first time - whether for Outpatient (OP), Inpatient (IP), Day-care or Emergency services—you'll be registered and assigned a Unique ID number, which serves as your Hospital Registration Number.
-
This Unique ID number is your personal identifier at SMF Hospital and keeps all your medical records organized in one place. -
If you're admitted as an inpatient, you'll receive an additional Admission Number for your stay. -
Need to update your details? Simply visit our Medical Records Department with a valid ID proof, and we'll be happy to assist you.
If you require admission to the hospital, please visit our Admission Counter first to complete the necessary formalities. Before admission, you'll need to complete your registration and receive your registration card.
-
We offer different room categories at varying tariffs. Feel free to enquire at the Admission Counter about room options, availability, and pricing. -
We'll do our best to accommodate you in your preferred room. If your choice isn't immediately available, we'll temporarily place you in the nearest alternative and transfer you as soon as your preferred room is ready. You'll only be charged the standard tariff for the room you actually occupy. -
For your safety and identification, you'll receive an Identity band to wear on your wrist during your stay. Your attending nurse will remove it once your discharge is confirmed and you're ready to leave.
To ensure comfort and safety, one attender is permitted to stay with the patient during their hospitalization. At the time of admission, the attender will be issued an "Attenders Pass."
-
Please keep your pass with you at all times while in the hospital premises. -
Our security staff may request to see your pass, so kindly have it ready when needed. -
When the patient is discharged, please return the Attenders Pass to the ward secretaries or nursing staff.
