Department Overview 

• Staffed by two experienced visiting consultants. 
• Integral part of SMF, providing care for common neurological diseases and handling neurological emergencies. 
• Collaborates with interventional radiologists and other specialists as required for advanced care.

Treatment / Procedures and Interventions 

• Management of epilepsy, headaches, movement disorders, strokes, and cognitive disorders.
  
• Handling neurological emergencies in the emergency room with neurologist input 
• Thrombolysis for acute ischemic stroke within the eligible time window 
• Consultations with interventional radiologists for specialized procedures 
• Bedside EEG and nerve conduction studies for inpatients.

Facilities 

• Outpatient consultations available on weekdays by appointment. 
• Neurological consultation services extend to the emergency department, ICU, and inpatient wards 
• Thrombolysis for acute ischemic stroke available 
• In-house imaging: CT scan and MRI facilities
