About FORUM 2024
Greetings from the Organizing Team of FORUM 2024.
Sundaram Medical Foundation takes great pleasure in inviting you to attend FORUM 2024. FORUM is an annual conference which holds the unique distinction of being conducted regularly for the past 25 years, catering to primary care providers, practicing physicians and post graduates. SMF places academic pursuits on par with clinical activities as we realize that excellence in patient care will only come from continuous update of the understanding of diseases, newer diagnostic and therapeutic options. A committed physician has to provide quality care in an atmosphere of economic limitations, complex psychosocial issues, and an increasing awareness about health and related issues among the public. The scientific content in FORUM is designed to meet these requirements of the busy clinician. The theme of this year’s FORUM is “ADVANCES IN CLINICAL MEDICINE” and the organizing team of FORUM 2024 has put together a one day scientific program and a one day workshop, with carefully chosen topics of relevance and importance to be delivered by experts in a concise yet complete manner. The sessions will be largely case scenario based which will enable applied learning.
About SMF
Sundaram Medical Foundation (SMF) was established in 1994 with the primary objective of providing quality medical care at an affordable cost to middle and lower income groups in the community. Within a short span of twenty nine years, under the vision and guiding hand of Dr.S.Rangarajan, Founder and Managing Trustee, the hospital has risen to a pre-eminent position in the health care scene, locally and nationally. It has set astandard and provided an effective and cost conscious model of health care delivery tailored to the needs and limitations of urban India.
The SMF Advantage
A non-profit trust set up by the Sundaram Finance Group of Companies, SMF is not burdened by high debt servicing costs or debt repayment obligations. Economics in project design and implementation, scrupulous scrutiny of all medical equipment purchases for appropriateness and a carefully tailored group of in-house quality assurance programs, have resulted in cost saving that has been passed on to the community.
Academic activities at SMF
SMF is accredited to the National Board of Examinations for training post graduates in eight specialties. All the programs are much sought after, due to the reputation that the institution has in the field of medical education.
