Frequently Asked Questions

We realize you might have a lot of queries regarding our services and facilities. Here you can find answers to most of them.

We advise you to book an appointment in advance. Simply call 044 – 26144123 / 124 / 125 / 480. If you have not made an advance appointment, contact our Centralised Appointment Cell at the Out Patient Centre. Based on the availability of your specialized doctor, you will be directed to the respective OPDs. Otherwise, you will be given an appointment on the dates available.
Contact our Reception Counter at SMF Out Patient Center and collect a new Registration Form. The form duly filled in and along with the registration fee should be submitted to the reception counter.
You will be given a Hospital Registration Card upon payment of registration fees, which includes your name, address, contact number and hospital number. Then you will be asked to report to the chosen Out Patient Clinic at your appointment time/scheduled time.
If you are a first timer to Sundaram Medical Foundation, you need to report to the front desk reception counter or if you have already made a visit to SMF, you may conveniently proceed to the speciality/specialist counter for your consultation as per the given time.
Yes, if your TPA/insurance is on the empanelled list of our hospital.
Submit your papers at the Billing department located on the Ground Floor between 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. After working hours, you may approach the Emergency Reception, which is open 24 hours. (Company-paid patients are advised to make an advance appointment by calling our Appointment Cell before proceeding to our hospital).
Yes, all Indian credit cards are accepted.

If the suggested/referred department has an Out Patient functioning on the same day and if an appointment alot is available, you may be accommodated on the same day, or if the slot is not available, you will be given the earliest available appointment with the help of the Secretary of the Specialist concerned.
Fix the repeat appointment with the Secretary of your Doctor and report for the investigation to be taken on the said date and time.

Note:
As per Drug Controllers Act, medicines will be given only on presentation of the prescription.
Doctors can view your lab reports and radiology reports except for ECG and X-Ray on their computer. Meanwhile, you can also contact our Despatch Counter located at our SMF OP Centre and collect all your test reports within 30 days between 8:00 am to 8:00 pm except Sundays and Holidays. We advise you to keep the documents safe for your reference. In addition, the approved lab reports are emailed at 7 a.m. daily to your registered email-ID. Please contact reception to add or update your email-ID.
