The department of Urology has been functioning since the inception of SMF in 1994.
We are growing in line with the philosophy of the institution and we have successfully implemented cost effective, evidence based practice catering to the needs of the community.
State of the art technology has been incorporated in a judicious manner to service common urological problems in the community.
The focus of the department has been to offer minimally invasive interventions for stones in the kidney, ureter and bladder, prostate enlargement and bladder tumors. Basic evaluation and management of male infertility and sexual dysfunction is undertaken,.

- Primary management of sexual dysfunction in both males and females and male infertility evidence

- Kidney - minimally invasive surgery for stones - PCNL and RIRS with pneumatic and laser energy
- Prostate - trans urethral resection in saline
- Urethral reconstructive surgery
- Office based evaluation of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS)
