• CANSTOP organized a heartfelt Rose Day celebration on 22nd September 2025 at the Institute of Child Health (ICH) and the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology (IOG), Egmore, honoring cancer patients and spreading hope and emotional support. Observed in memory of Melinda Rose, the day aims to bring comfort and encouragement to individuals undergoing treatment.
  • Handmade roses were distributed to patients, attenders, and hospital staff, along with 88 gift items such as tiffin boxes and bedsheets, bringing joy across the wards. The programme included engaging activities such as a mimicry performance and a guided meditation session, offering moments of laughter, relaxation, and healing
  • The event was conducted in two sessions to ensure wider participation—11:00 AM at IOG and 12:00 PM at ICH. CANSTOP’s team and volunteers contributed to creating a warm, supportive atmosphere throughout the celebration.
  • Overall, the Rose Day event successfully fostered care, compassion, and emotional strength, creating meaningful moments for cancer patients and their families.
