Breast Cancer Awareness Walkathon
- The One Walk One Hope – Breast Cancer Awareness Walkathon was held on 26th October 2025 at Island Grounds, Park Town, Chennai, beginning at 6:00 AM. Organized by CANSTOP and Rotary District 3234, the event aimed to raise awareness on breast cancer, highlight the importance of early detection, and promote proactive health practices among women.
- The walkathon was inaugurated by the Hon. Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu Mr Ma Subramaniam, who appreciated the efforts of CANSTOP and Rotary District 3234 in strengthening cancer awareness initiatives and supporting women's health.
More Than 3,500 Individuals Took Part
- The event also saw the presence of several Rotarians, whose participation underscored their continued commitment to public health and community service.
- Special Guest Ms. Sanchita Shetty, Actress, attended the event and lauded CANSTOP’s decade-long commitment to outreach and advocacy. She encouraged women to undergo regular health check-ups and emphasized the lifesaving role of early detection.
