Smt. Radhika Krishna is a Hospital Administrator & Healthcare Systems Management specialist, richly experienced in handling teaching and tertiary care hospitals. She was formerly Senior Hospital Administrator (in charge) at Sri Ramachandra Hospital, Chennai, India. She is currently the Clinic Administrator at Mediyoga, a private medical outpatient clinic in Chennai that treats Orthopaedic pain with exercises based on Yoga.

Over the course of her career, she has extensive experience in managing and optimising processes and workflows of inpatient and outpatient services, promoting safe practices at hospitals, and ensuring adherence to protocols while enhancing customer experience and satisfaction. She is very passionate about delivering quality healthcare to all sections of the community at affordable and competitive costs.

Dr. P.V. Jayasankar

Trustee & Medical Director

Dr. P. V. Jayasankar is a Trustee and Medical Director at Sundaram Medical Foundation. He is highly qualified in Orthopedic medicine, with a M.S. Orth, D. Orth and M. Ch. Orth degrees and has held many leadership roles during his illustrious career.

Currently, he also serves as HOD, Department of Orthopedic Surgery at SMF, Chairman of the Ethical Committee at Madras Medical College, Faculty at AO-Trauma, Educational Activities and is the President of Chennai Arthroplasty & Trauma Society (CATS)

Sri. S. Ravindran

Mr. S. Ravindran is a Whole-time Director in Turbo Energy Private Limited. He is a Commerce Graduate from the University of Madras and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has lead a rich and diverse life, with diverse stints in Auto-ancillary Industries, Educational Printing, Publishing & Distribution Company, and Health Care Industry in India and Abroad for over 45 years.

Mr S. Ravindran is also the Director on the Board of ABI-Showatech (India) Private Limited and Real Talent Engineering Private Limited. He is a Trustee in the Sholinghur Development Trust and Laxmi Charities. He has also served on the Boards of Sundaram Finance Limited and India Motor Parts & Accessories Limited as Director.

Sri. S. Rajarethinam

Trustee

Mr. S. Rajarethinam (I.A.S Retd.) is a trustee of SMF and holds a Masters in Economics and Bachelor of Law, as well as awards for excellence in service. In his service spanning around 40 years, he initiated many reforms and people friendly measures and was part of the teams in charge of various developmental and eco-friendly schemes.

During his illustrious career, he served as Secretary to the Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, District Collector, Inspector General of Registration, Commissioner of Collegiate Education, Secretary to Government in Housing and Urban Development, Tourism, Environment and Forests, Public Works Department, Commercial Taxes. He is currently Chairman of Tamil Nadu Foundation, TN Chapter.

Sri. S. Viji

Lifetime Trustee

Mr. S. Viji is the Chairman of Sundaram Finance Limited. As a qualified Chartered Accountant, with an MBA from the University of Michigan, USA, he possesses great expertise and rich experience in the fields of both Finance and Manufacturing.

He is also presently the Executive Vice Chairman of Brakes India Private Limited and serves on the Boards of several companies, is closely involved in the Managing Committees of several schools and was the President of ACMA (Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India, New Delhi) for two terms.

Sri. S. Ram

Mr. S. Ram is the Executive Chairman of Trichur Sundaram Santhanam & Family Private Limited. A Mechanical Engineer from the College of Engineering, Guindy, he also has a Master’s degree in Production Engineering from Birmingham University, UK. With over 5 decades of experience in the Indian Automotive industry, he is a force to reckon with.

Mr. S. Ram also serves as Chairman of Wheels India Limited, Axles India Limited and India Motor Parts & Accessories Limited.

Sri. Ragavachary Ramanujam

Managing Trustee

Mr. R. Ramanujam is the Executive Chairman of Brakes India Private Limited. A doyen of the Indian Automotive Industry, he guides several companies with his farsighted vision and thoughtful initiatives, building the reputation of Indian industries in the west. Mr Ramanujam is well-travelled, an avid sports enthusiast and a keen tennis player.

He also serves as Chairman of Turbo Energy Private Limited and ABI-Showatech (India) Private Limited, Managing Director of Turbo Energy GmbH, Germany, Director in Showatech Inc. USA, Ross Casting & Innovation LLC, USA, Vikasa Pte Ltd, Singapore and Nettur Technical Training Foundation and Trustee in Sholinghur Development Trust.

Smt. Nivedita Ram

Trustee

Smt. Nivedita Ram is a Montessori Trainer who has dedicated her life to creating environments that fosters creativity and wonder. Through her work as curriculum consultant and mentor at various organisations, she facilitates learning through scientific observation and encourages a more holistic learning ecosystem.

Her expertise covers the fields of Curriculum Design, Classroom Management, Distance Education, Scientific Observation, Communication and Mentorship to name a few. She has held diverse roles that include establishing Reading Room Programs, Training Workshops for Teachers, Remote Learning Facilitator, Resource Person for Karnataka State MRPs and Teachers.(CATS)

Sri. T. N. P. Durai

Trustee & Director – Administration

Sri. T.N.P Durai joined the SMF family in 2005 and holds the position of Trustee & Director – Administration, in charge of the entire administration of the hospital. A Commerce Graduate with an M.B.A & M.S. in Management, University of Wisconsin, USA, he has had an illustrious career with considerable experience in overall company management and administration.

While running his own Financial Services company, he serves as an Independent Director on the Board of India Motor Parts and Accessories Ltd. He was a President in Overseas Sanmar Financial Limited and later was also a Director in Paterson & Co (P) Ltd., and PATCO Investment and Consultancy Services (P) Ltd., from 2003. His career spans diverse industries, including Manufacturing, Finance, Computer Education, and Investment.

Dr. Vijaya Bharathi Rangarajan

Trustee and Director

Dr. Vijaya Bharathi Rangarajan is the Director and Trustee of Sundaram Medical Foundation, serving as Coordinator for community initiatives, facilities, and hospital projects. She is an accomplished dental surgeon and implantologist, trained at Madras Dental College, Implantology from Germany and serves as Head of the Department of Dental and Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery at SMF.

A core member of SMF’s founding team since its inception, her award-winning career spans decades of service through community initiatives, guiding SMF to embody community centeredness as a core value. She was instrumental in establishing key projects such as STEP (Support, Therapy and Education for People) and is the Founder/Executive Director of CANSTOP (Cancer Support Therapy to Overcome Pain).

She is passionate about uplifting communities, exemplified by her work as a Trustee of Dangety Narayanaswamy Maternity Hospital, Andhra Pradesh, and through her involvement in leadership roles across multiple charitable and NGO/Civic bodies such as Cancer Care India, FICCI-FLO, and the Rotary Club of Madras.

Dr. Arjun Rangarajan

Trustee

Dr. Arjun Rangarajan is a Public Health practitioner with experience spanning global health organizations such as the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Centres for Disease Control (CDC), and Doctors without Borders. He currently serves as Senior Director, Health Systems & Global Health Strategy at Noora Health. He holds a Masters of Public Health (MPH) from Emory University, USA and an MBBS from Sri Ramachandra Medical College, India.

Over the course of his career he has had extensive experience designing, managing, and scaling care delivery initiatives, community health, and public health programs. He is passionate about incorporating public health strategies into clinical care delivery and bridging gaps between them.

Dr.Arjun Rajagopalan

Trustee & Medical Advisor

Dr. Arjun Rajagopalan is a former Medical Director and Head, Department of Surgery at Sundaram Medical Foundation, having served 22 years with the hospital since its inception. He has spent a lifetime teaching and implementing evidence-based Medical Practice and strongly believes that information systems can enhance the quality and efficiency of modern medical practice.

Dr. Arjun Rajagopalan was the Best Outgoing Student from the Madras Medical College. He did his residency training in General Surgery at the Loyola University Medical Centre, Chicago, where he was the Best Outgoing Senior Resident (1980). He obtained certification from the American Board of Surgery. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Kuruvilla Thomas

Trustee

Dr. Kuruvilla Thomas serves as Deputy Medical Director – Academics Education, Training & Research at SMF. His expertise lies in pediatric medicine, with a special focus on Growth and Development and Nutrition. He is in charge of conducting FORUM, the hospital’s prestigious Annual Conference, as well as all Academic Activities including Academic Courses.

Dr. Thomas holds a DCH and MD Pediatrics from Christian Medical College, Vellore. In a career spanning 28 years, he has held positions of Senior Consultant, Pediatrician and Head of the Department.

Dr. T. Girija

Trustee

Dr. T. G. Holds the posts of Deputy Medical Director and the Head of the Department of Medicine at SMF. In a career spanning 28 years with this hospital, she has been keenly involved in outpatient and inpatient management of simple and complex medical conditions with special interest in acute medical care. She is passionate about teaching and has trained several General Medicine post graduates over the past 27 years.

Dr. T.G. holds an MBBS and MD in General Medicine from Madras Medical College. She was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians, Glasgow, UK in 2013.
