Pulmonology

Department of Pulmonology in SMF has been a valuable medical speciality offering services to the community for nearly two decades. At present, the department is manned by two consultants and offers outpatient and inpatient services daily. The department works in tandem with the founder’s mission of offering quality, community-centered health care at an affordable cost.

Milestones

The department offers daily outpatient facilities and has an excellent round-the-clock intensive care backup and in-house radiology and microbiology services, enabling consultants to admit and treat the most challenging respiratory cases.

Obstructive airway diseases - asthma, COPD
Pleural effusions/pneumothorax/hemothorax and chest trauma
All lung infections - bacterial, fungal, TB etc
Interstitial Lung diseases
Lung cancer
Complete respiratory evaluation for pre-employment/pre-operative patients etc
