The Department of Psychiatry at SMF is dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health care to patients of all ages. Our team of highly skilled psychiatrists, psychologists, and mental health professionals work together to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of mental health conditions.

Milestones

The Department of Psychiatry has greatly expanded its scope since its inception of the department and caters to a large number of patients at present
There are 4 Consultant Psychiatrists and 2 Clinical Psychologists in the department
The Department has successfully been able to raise awareness about common mental health issues in the community
Regular out-patient clinics provide timely services to patients
The Department of Psychiatry works in tandem with the Department of Internal Medicine to handle various mental health aspects of inpatient therapy
Dr. Padmavati is also a part of the Scientific Advisory Committee at the hospital
