
The Department of Infectious Diseases specialises in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases caused by microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites.
Milestones
- The Department of Infectious Diseases, together with the Department of General Medicine, was at the forefront of handling COVID-19 during the epidemic. A special COVID ward was set up and handled jointly by the Departments of General Medicine and Infectious diseases, catering to a large number of patients
- The Department of Infectious Disease carries out the antibiotic stewardship and infection control programs, and contributes to data on antibiotic usage
Treatment
- We work together with other departments and our patients to provide comprehensive and patient-centered treatment plans
- We offer antiviral and antibiotic therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies for specific infectious agents. The diseases treated include meningitis, sepsis, fever of unknown origin, influenza, pneumonia, COVID-19, tuberculosis, and HIV/AIDS, among other diseases
