Dermatology

We provide consultation for various dermatological problems, including acne, allergic reactions, urticaria, hair and nail disorders, psoriasis, vitiligo, pemphigus, eczema, warts and skin cancers. It is a referral centre for severe skin diseases like pemphigus, extensive psoriasis and drug reactions. Patients are also referred for biologics therapy for severe blistering disease and recalcitrant psoriasis

Milestones

Educational activity:
The Madras Club Cutaneous Medicine meeting is conducted every 2nd saturday, previously in our hospital auditorium and is currently in virtual mode. It is well attended by senior dermatologists and students. Difficult cases are discussed, and the proceedings are brought out in a monthly newsletter. Likewise, the Dermatology department is well-represented in conferences, seminars and forum discussions.
