Sundaram Arockiyam Plan
- Sundaram Arockiyam Plan (SAP) is the community service initiative of Sundaram Medical Foundation focusing on the health needs of children studying in Aadi Dravida Tribal Welfare School, Anna Nagar. Every year, approximately 235 children are screened. Anyone in need of treatment is admitted for free. Every year two camps are conducted.
Screening Camps
- The Community Services Team conducts screening camps/general health checkups for the public at large. Some of the beneficiaries of the camps are metro rail employees, autopilots, MTC bus plots and conductors, and many others in the various associations and groups.
First Aid Training
First Aid Training Sessions are conducted in the Emergency Department to equip all the trainees to provide support and rescue assistance during any medical emergency.
Basic Life Support (CPR) techniques using Annie, choking in adults and infants and practical training.
Emergencies & First Aid Team provides in-campus training for school teachers, students, bus operators, autorickshaws drivers, and traffic officers periodically.

Can Wish aims to fulfill the wishes of critically-ill children up to the age of 16 years. This April, two children were given a remote-operated toy car and a toy helicopter.

Can-Stop was launched on March 23 1998, to assist pediatric cancer patients and their families impacted by the pandemic. A total amount of Rs 1,90,000 was raised.

Can-Stop conducted an online panel discussion to emphasize the importance of medical care, stress management, and diet management for various childhood cancers. About 30 families and 56 students from different colleges across Chennai participated in the event, and was well received by the beneficiaries, survivors and their families.

SMF employees, physicians, and volunteers donated necessities worth Rs. 140,000 to 2 NGOs: Kalaiselvi Karunalaya and Anandham Old Age Home. As a way to express gratitude for the less fortunate, SMF organized a gift drive through its consultants and employees.

The Community Services division of SMF regularly leads yoga training sessions for 6-20 year old Adi Dravidar welfare students at a school in Anna Nagar. This project emphasizes yoga practice, postures, meditation, diet, and personal hygiene.

The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation oversees the SMF Akash Centre for Cerebral Palsy. The centre was launched in 2002 to meet the needs of kids with special needs.
